| Abstract: | This paper reviews corrosion behavior of magnesium and its alloys and the possibility of their application as biomaterials. Several factors that significantly affect the corrosion rates of magnesium and its alloys in aqueous solution are discussed. Furthermore,promising surface modification methods for magnesium and its alloys are also briefly described. |
