| Abstract: | Water plays an important role not only in geochemical dynamic processes and geophysical fields in the Earth's upper mantle,but in the understanding of recycling of volatiles in the Earth's interior and the evolution of the planet as a whole.Advances in the study of water in the mantle over the recent years are reviewed in the paper.The storing states,storage sites and their control factors are briefly illustrated,and the content of water in the Earth's mantle is evaluated. |
