Abstract: | In this paper, the regions of harmonic and subharmonic resonance for the periodically forced Rayleigh -Plesset equation with linear damping are studied. The boundaries of these regions of resonance are determined using a perturbation method. Algebraic expressions are obtained for the bifurcation surfaces, which mark the boundaries of these regions of entrainment, in terms of the detuning frequency, forcing amplitude and dissipation. |
