| Abstract: | As a new concept, green infrastructure, its origin and definition, and basic components were briefly introduced in this paper. The principles and strategies of planning and implementation of green infrastructure were described by citing some successful cases as a vivid instance. At the same time, the implications of green infrastructure to land use and conservation in the process of urbanization in China were outlined. |
