Influence of Nursing Care Based on FTS Concept on Rehabilitation of Elderly Patients With Esophageal Cancer After Thoracoscopic Surgery

Objective To analyze the application value of fast track surgery(FTS)nursing in the rehabilitation of elderly patients with esophageal cancer after thoracoscopic surgery and its preventive effect on patients with pulmonary infection.Methods A total of 68 patients with esophageal cancer undergoing thoracoscopic surgery were selected in the hospital from January 2019 to December 2020,and randomly divided into a control group(34 cases)and a test group(34 cases)by lottery.The control group was given routine care,and the test group was given FTS care.The postoperative recovery status(extubation of chest tube,anal exhaust,oral feeding and the first activity time on the ground,length of hospital stay),nutritional statustotal protein(TP),pre-albumin(PA)and albumin(ALB)],and the occurrence of lung infections were compared between the two groups of patients after surgery.Results Postoperative chest tube extubation time,anal exhaust time,oral feeding time,the first activity time on the ground,and the length of hospital stay in the test group were earlier/shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05).The levels of TP,PA,and ALB in the test group were higher than those in the control group at 1 and 7 days after surgery(P<0.05).The incidence of lung infection in the test group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The intervention of FTS nursing for elderly patients with esophageal cancer after thoracoscopic surgery can significantly promote the postoperative recovery of the patients,improve the nutritional status of the patients,reduce the incidence of lung infections,and contribute to the prognosis of the patients.
