| Abstract: | This paper reviews the reasons and causes of RO membrane fouling including looking closely at the foulants and their adverse effects.It also discusses the accurate deter- mination of the appropriate cleaning method for a particular foulant and choosing the most appropriate cleaner for membranes and their foulants.The cleaning process and fastflux lev- el recovery are also both explained. |
