Jiangya hydropower project will provide hugeenvironmental benefits,but meanwhile,due to large amounts of excavation and sewagedischarge,there also exists adverse impact.As partial investment coming from loans of theWorld Bank,the World Bank pays special attention to the environmental impact of theproject.In the process of the project construction,according to the environmental impactreport and the requirement of the World Bank,the owner has strengthened the environmentalmanagement and monitoring,regularly reported the environmental management and monitoringcondition to the World Bank.The monitored results of environment in the constructionprocess of Jiangya project demonstrate that the environmental quality meets the highstandard.
