| Abstract: | This paper has researched the cathodoluminescence spectroscopy of layered vein quartz in mining region and on outskirts of Xiangxi Gold, Deposit. The resarch shows that there are much great differences in color, intensity(expo-sure time) and luminance among richly gold-bearing quartz,poorly gold-bearing quartz, and gold-unbearing qartz and among the quartz belonging to different mineralizing stages. The author, therefore, has put up a new view that the cathodoluminescence technique could be used to evaluate the gold-bearing properties of quartz vein and classify the mineralizing stage |
