Abstract:Traditional three-phase three-level rectifiers have many disadvantages such as many switches, complicated control, and high loss. So, a novel three-phase three-level rectifier topology is proposed in this paper. Moreover, in the weak grid, the unbalanced grid voltages are unavoidable. When the grid voltages are unbalanced, the traditional control algorithm has a large amount of calculation, complicated control, and serious grid current distortion. In order to make the novel three-phase three-level rectifier operate normally under the weak grid conditions, an improved finite set model predictive control method is proposed, which realizes fast tracking of grid current, harmonic suppression and balance control of DC side midpoint voltage. The article first analyzes the working principle and mathematical model of the new topology, and then constructs the current command value of the novel three-phase three-level rectifier under weak grid conditions. Finally, an improved finite set model predictive control is proposed for the novel three-phase three-level rectifier. Simulation and experiments verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
