| 摘 要： | 通过分析工科院校大学英语教学及改革的背景,认为现代教育四大支柱的本质意义对大学英语教学改革和发展有着积极的启发和借鉴意义。论述了通识教育与大学英语的关系、大学英语在工科院校的教育价值,即大学英语教学不仅要重视语言能力的培养,更应该重视跨文化交际能力的培养,然后提出了跨文化交际能力培养的目标和具体的实施方法。

| Abstract: | This article analyses the background of college English teaching and reform in technological universities. The four pillars of modem education is the guidance, and has great impact on college English reform. The rela- tionship between general education and college English and the value of college English are discussed. College Eng- lish teaching should not only contain linguistic knowledge, but also include some corresponding cultures. It is important for to euhivate students＂ awareness and ability of intercultural communication in English teaching. Finally some suggestions are put forward for reference. |
