| Abstract: | This review was mainly focused on the catalytic asymmetric biooxidation of sulfides to chiral sulfoxides. Two enzymatic approaches in the oxidation of organic sulfides to optically active sulfoxides are described based on the use of chloroperoxidase and cyclohexanone monooxygenase. |
