The application of membrane separation technology in the recovery of tail gas from the emulsion polymerization

The recovery of VCM from the non-condensable gas released from the polymerization process by applying organic steam membeane separation technology was introduced in the paste resin facility in PVC plant of Shanghai Chlor-Alkali Chemical Industry Incorporated Company.The principle of the membrane separation technology was discussed.Plans of optimizing the process and the control system were introduced,and finally it was achieved that VCM content in the tail gas was less than 2%,the recovery rate was up to more than 95%,and 275 tons of VCM could be recovered per year.
