无机闪烁晶体的研究现状与应用前景(上)

摘    要:闪烁晶体因能够有效地把辐射能转换为光能而被用作探测高强度电离辐射的材料。本文比较系统地阐述了无机闪烁晶体的定义,种类,性能特征和评价标准,对钨酸铅晶体研究中存在的主要总是进行了讨论;介绍了闪烁晶体目前在工业,医疗诊断和高能物理实验研究中的应用情况。

Abstract:Scintillators are materials which can be used to detect highly ionizing radiation, because they efficiently convert the energy of this radiation into light. The defining types, physical characteristics and the requirements which scintillator materials have to satisfy are reviewed in this paper. Some problems on the research for lead tungstate scintillator are discussed. Finally the applications of scintillation crystals in industry, medical diagnosis and high energy experimental research are presented.
