| Abstract: | A stability analysis of the dynamical equations describing the behaviour of an optical cavity wherein a two-photon absorber is driven by two distinct coherent fields reveals that bistability and tristability can occur by the dispersive mechanism. Furthermore, portions of the unsaturated branches can exhibit oscillating instabilities. |
