Abstract:OBJECTIVE To establish a method for determinatin of ferulic acidin Shenghua Tang and rabbit serum. METHODS RP-HPLC was used. Mobile phase consisted of methanol-acetic acid-water (30∶0.3∶69.7) with UV detection at 323 nm,the analytical column was Zorbax SB-C18ODS 250 mm×4.6 mm, 5 μm. RESULTS The method was linear within the range of 0.22~3.52 μg·ml-1,r=0.9994, the within day RSD=0.33%(n=5). The mean recovery from serum was 98.3%. The extraction curves of ferulic acid in rabbit serum was linear over the range of 0.088~2.64 μg·ml-1,r=0.9989, the mean recovery from rabbit serum was 69.4%, RSD=3.6%(n=3). CONCLUSIONS The method is simple and accurate.
