| Abstract: | As the understanding and ways of using differ from user to user and from manufacturer to manufacturer, the effectiveness of the IEC 60870-5-101 protocol in practice differs as well. An analysis is made of the communication efficiency, the real-time character and reliability of data transmission. The application experience of the protocol in the East China Power Network is described. |
