Abstract:The freezing curtain of the artificial freezing method is directly related to the environmental safety of underground construction. At this stage, the determination of whether the freezing curtain is formed or not is only through the limited temperature measurement hole and pressure hole data, which often results in inaccurate determination and impervious construction after excavation. A situation that requires a second freeze occurs. In order to efficiently and accurately detect the behavior of the frozen curtain, this paper uses the ground penetrating radar method to carry out the detection test of the frozen curtain. Before the actual physical detection, numerical simulation is used for feasibility analysis. The results of the numerical simulation show that the ground penetrating radar method is effective. Based on this, the author conducted actual detection of a connection channel constructed by freezing method in a subway in Inner Mongolia, showing that it is basically feasible to use ground penetrating radar method to detect freezing curtains. Qualitative analysis of freezing curtains can be carried out, but quantitative analysis should be done. Still need to continue in-depth research.
