Abstract:The phenol formaldehyde resin(PF)/montmorillonite(MMT) and PF/organic montmorillonite(OMMT) nanocomposites were prepared by in-situ intercalative polymerization to improve the thermal stability of PF,and the mechanical and electrical properties of PF,PF/OMMT,PF/MMT after heat-treatment were compared.Results showed that PF/OMMT and PF/MMT were both exfoliation nanocomposites.comparing with PF/OMMT,the residual char yield of PF/MMT was increased more obviously,and the compressive strength was greatly improved too.The resistivity of PF and PF/MMT after being heat-treated at 700℃were 0.55 Ω·cm and 2.73 Ω·cm,which demonstrated that the heat-resistant temperature of PF/MMT was improved,and a certain organic structure was maintained.
