Abstract:Objective The research progress of Dendrobium chemical composition and pharmacological action was reviewed, which provided theoretical reference for the rational development and clinical application of Dendrobium.Methods Based on "Dendrobium" and other key words, the literature about chemical composition, pharmacological action and processing technology of Dendrobium in recent ten years was inquired in the database of CNKI, PubMed and so on, and representative literature were selected for review.Results The chemical components of Dendrobium are complex, mainly including polysaccharides, alkaloids, flavonoids, phenanthrene, benzenes, volatile oils, amino acids and trace elements, etc. It has the pharmacological activities of anti-oxidation, anti uric acid, anti-tumor, anti fatigue, hypoglycemia, immune regulation, etc.Conclusions With the further study of active components and pharmacological effects, Dendrobium will have a broad application prospect in medicine, health care and other aspects.
