| Abstract: | In this comprehensive review article,the historical and techno-economical aspects of developing and applying water-plugging technologies in petroleum industry of P.R. of China are introduced.The general principles of main technologies for chemical wa- ter-shutoff in producing wells and for profile control in water-injecting wells and the results (the oil production increase) from applying these technologies in Chinese oil fields are outlined.The most effective and promiting ones are pointed out and commen- tated,these are of:profile controlbyusing TP-910,PIA-601 series,particulated solid, triphase foam,and xanthan;water-shutoff in producing wells by using PAM gels and gelling water glasses. |
