| Abstract: | This paper introduces the principle of acoustic emission （AE） testing （AET）. The history and the progress of AET for pressure vessel are reviewed. The advantage of AE testing for pressure vessel and the AE eharaeteristie of pressure vessel are summarized. At the last, the author indicates the problems to be solved and the direction of this field. |
