The mountains regions in Guangxi is 168 573.6km2, making up 71.23% of the total region.There are many types of agroforestry system established by local farmers in the mountain regions in Guangxi.According to th e major purpose of landuse of mountains,the types of wood plants and the combination of wood plants with crops,poultries and livestocks,the following ty pes of agroforestry system of mountains in Guangxi are classified: 1.Agroforesty systems established in the forest land,including forestfoo d crops system,forstmedicinal herbs system,forestforage crops sy stem,forestsapling system,forestfruit system,forestteas system,forestlianas system,forestfungus system and forestdomestic animals system. 2.Agroforestry systems established in the orchard,including fruit treefo od crops system,fruit tressforage crops system,fruit treefruit h erbs system,fruit treefungus system and fruit treedomestic fowls system. 3.Agroforestry system established in the cultivated land,including cropt imbers system,cropfruit trees system and cropmulberries system.
