Research and application of online continuous light hydrocarbon logging technology

With the continuous deepening of oil and gas exploration and development,various kinds of characteristic mud logging technologies are gradually developed.Light hydrocarbon logging technology plays an important role in identifying reservoir fluid properties,guiding engineering decisions and oil testing and selection of reservoirs because of its high resolution,accuracy and anti-interference.However,the light hydrocarbon logging technology can only be used for single point analysis,the analysis period is relatively long and the timeliness is insufficient,while the gas logging technology has good continuity and timeliness.Therefore,the advantages of the two mud logging technologies are integrated to develop the GW-OLS online continuous light hydrocarbon logging technology.This technology can obtain real-time data for 15 kinds of hydrocarbon components in reservoirs C₁-C₈ with good continuity,timeliness,high resolution and accuracy,strong anti-interference and other advantages.Through the research,the online continuous light hydrocarbon logging gas index L_g,oil index L_o,water index L_w and other derived parameters are established,which can realize the timely and accurate identification of fluid properties during the drilling process.At present,the online continuous light hydrocarbon logging technology,has been applied in many oil fields such as Liaohe,Jidong and Changqing,the oil test verified that the coincidence rate was up to 81.9%,which has the extremely high promotion value.
