克孜尔第114窟探析

A Study on № 114 Cave of Kizil Grottoes

The paper describes the forms and fresco distribution at No 114 cave of Kizil Grottoes and analyses the contents of the frescoes from four aspects. And the author believes that this is a Muhayana cave with the Buddhist ideas that the frescoes express. And it is believed that the frescoes display the spread of Maiteya belief in the ancient Qiucl area.According to the dressing style of the donor image in the frescoes, it can be ensured that the cave was Bhiksu temple.And the author also assumes that this cave is a remains of a site where Kumarajiva advocated Muhayana Buddhism in the late half of the fourth century.
