An Approach to the Common Ratio of Hoisting Speeds of Mechanical Drawworks

In the view of making good use of hoisting power and reducing tripping time, the author makes further exploration into the common ratio of hoisting speeds of mechanical drawworks with the aid of design optimization and performs calculations using the parameters of some existing drilling rigs. The results obtained will be of some value in research and development of the hoisting system on drilling rigs.
