Epidemiological analysis and diagnostic value of Aptima method for detecting HPV E6/E7 mRNA in cervical cancer screening

Objective To detect HPV E6/E7 mRNA by Aptima method,to study the distribution of its typing and quantitative detection results in different age groups and cervical biopsy pathology,and to analyze its diagnostic value in cervical lesions.Methods Patients who underwent HPVE6/E7 mRNA test in the gynecological clinic of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from January 2019 to January 2020 were selected as the study subjects.The ages,TCT results,and cervical biopsy pathological results of patients with positive HPV E6/E7 mRNA were collected.HPV E6/E7 mRNA typing and quantitative detection results were statistically analyzed.Results Among the 11051 patients undergoing HPV E6/E7 mRNA test,the positive rate was 16.5%.There was a statistical difference in the expression level of E6/E7 mRNA among different types(P<0.0001),among which the highest expression level was that of HPV type 16/18/45.There was a statistically significant difference in HPVE6/E7 mRNA expression between different TCT results(P<0.0001).With the increase of cervical lesion severity,the expression of HPV E6/E7 mRNA did not increase significantly.Conclusion The quantitative detection results of HPV E6/E7 mRNA are related to the types of HPV infection,mainly HPV 16 and 18/45,and the expression of E6/E7 mRNA is higher after mixed infection with type of16/18/45;however,the diagnosis rate by its expression level for high-grade cervical lesions is not high,thus correcting the current clinical misunderstanding about the correlation between quantitative detection results of HPV E6/E7 mRNA and cervical lesions.
