| Abstract: | This paper introduces the technological measures to increase the steelmaking capacity of three converters at Xiangtan Steel. The measures include, improving charge regime, adopting less-slag operation, controlling converter profile as well as optimizing production process, etc. Owing to above-mentioned measures adopted, the daily steelmaking capacity of the three converters increased from 7 000 t/d to 10 000 t/d. The converter availability was 84.22 %, and the ratio of variety steels increased to 85.69 %. |
