Facture and Use of Map Symbols in MicroStation

This paper describes the method to create and use the symbols of map in the MicroStation. The point symbols is created as a cell, and stored in cell library. After analyzing the type and placed style of cell, the author suggests the point symbols should be designed as a point cell and be used in shared way. The style of line symbols is built according with the custom line style defined by Line Style Editor, and is saved in line style library. There is an example of sluice to introduce the basics way to produce a symbol of custom line style. Programming in MicroStation can produce the area symbols.
