Countryside Settlement Reorganization Model in Developed Regions:Experience from Shanghai

As China's urban areas expand,rural villages are resettled.In Shanghai these resettlements are implemented in one of three ways;demolition,reorganization,or internal integration.Four common tools of resettlement implementation are land confiscation,land exchange,gradual reorganization,and renovation.The first tool is only a temporary measure,the second is useful in suburban areas,the third is a mature long-term solution,and the last improves the rural landscape.
