Second-order moment analysis of dispersion-managed solitons |

| Abstract: | This paper shows how a second-order moment analysis can be used to derive explicit approximate expressions for the evolution of the root-mean-square (rms) width and chirp parameters of a dispersion-managed soliton within one period of the dispersion map.
