Abstract:A systemic excavation security monitoring on SMW(Soil Mixing Wall) engineering method is accomplished in the new coastal region of Tianjin,which includes deep layers’horizontal displacement,axial force of support,upper vertical displacement,groundwater level,and deformation of surrounding building.Analysis on the measured data,the deformation laws of soft soil foundation excavation by SMW engineering method in the new coastal region of Tianjin is summarized in this paper.In addition,the effective cautionary index and corresponding alarm value of this kind of excavation security monitoring are brought forward for discussion.
