General features of the formation of the carburized layer in thermocyclic saturation

The use of thermocycling in the technology of chemical heat treatment (CHT) of steel parts makes it possible to intensify the processes of diffusion saturation and improve all the properties of parts subjected to surface strengthening. The present paper is devoted to the results of a study of the effect of thermocycling regimes on the formation of the structure and the properties of the diffusion layer of steels subjected to carburizing.
