穿吸细胞学检查毛母质瘤误诊为恶性二例

背景 ]探讨穿吸细胞学检查毛母质瘤误诊为恶性的原因 .病例报告 ]给例 1右下颌角处皮下肿物、例 2后颈部皮下肿物均做了穿吸细胞学检查 .涂片中见大量的瘤细胞散在或团状分布 ,核呈圆形或椭圆形 ,嗜碱性 ,异型性较明显 .例 1细胞学诊断为皮下转移癌 ,例 2为恶性淋巴瘤 ,术后病理诊断均为毛母质瘤 .讨论 ]2例毛母质瘤穿吸细胞学误诊为恶性的主要原因是只注意到瘤细胞核大、异型性较明显 ,忽略了核染色质呈细颗粒状、无病理核分裂及少量异物巨细胞的存在

Misdiagnosis as malignant for pilomatrixoma by fine needle aspiration-A report of 2 cases

BACKGROUND To study the cause of misdiagnosis as malignant for pilomatrixoma by fine needle aspiration. CASE REPORT The first case is subcutaneous swelling at right angle of mandible, the second case at the rearward of cervix and fine needle aspiration were performed in them. A large of tumor cells are scattered or clustered arrangement in the smear, nuclear were round or oval shape, basophilia and marked atypia. One was diagnosis as metastatic carcinoma and the other was malignant lymphoma. But both of them were pilomatrixoma by pathological diagnosis after operation. DISCUSSION The mainly cause of misdiagnosis as malignant disease was only notice their big nuclear and atypia, neglected the chromosome like as fine grain, no pathological nuclear mitoses and some foreign body giant cells in the smear.
