Abstract: | DMS (dimethylsulfide), a breakdown product of cellular solutes of many species of macroalgae and phytoplankton plays an important role in regulating global climate and counteracting partly the "green house" effect.In this paper, the advance and prospects of DMS study are reviewed and discussed with respect to DMS sample storage, measurement and importance in regulating global climate and the acidity of rain and aerosol. |
