| Abstract: | Objective To investigate the expression of apoptpsis inhibitor gene-survivin,XIAP in papillary thyroid carcinoma and to analyze their correlation.Methods Immunohistochemical method（SP） was used to detect the expression of survivin and XIAP in 35 cases of papillary thyroid and 28 cases of thyroid adenoma.Results The positive expression rates of survivin,XIAP were 74.2% and 94.3% respectively in papillary thyroid carcinoma,which were significantly higher than those in thyroid adenoma（P0.01）.The expression of survivin was not correlated with patients＇sex,age,nodule number,tumor size in papillary thyroid carcinoma.The expression of XIAP in females was significantly higher than that in males（P0.05）.Conclusion The expression of survivin,XIAP is increased in papillary thyroid carcinoma,and there is a positive correlation between the two genes. |
