Abstract:High-pressure air joint is an important connecting component of the high-pressure air system for ships,as the system pressure level increases from 20 MPa to 40 MPa,the standard joint used in the original system is no longer suitable.Therefore,a new high-pressure joint needs to be researched to meet the requirements of 40 MPa system.Starting from the use problem of high-pressure air joints for in-service ships,the research work was carried out on the 40 MPa high-pressure air joint for ships for the angle of the material matching,seal structure and operating torque control.Through simulation calculation,prototype trial manufacture and test,a new type of 40 MPa copper alloy high-pressure air joint for ships was developed,and design check and performance verification were carried out for them.The test results show that the strength,tightness,burst test and tear-off test of the developed joint all can meet the system use requirements,which lays a foundation for the successful application of the 40 MPa high-pressure air system for ships.
