| Abstract: | The unified solution of the ultimate strength has been obtained of the thick-wall cylinder, which is made from a material with different tensile and compressive properties. The method is also applied on the material that tensile strength is equal to compressive strength. The benefit using this method is to make full use of the strength of materials and also to decrease the weight of the structure. We, therefore, could get the best engineering records and the economic benefits. |
