Abstract:Objective:To systematically evaluate the efficacy of butylphthalide in the treatment of carbon monoxide poisoning encephalopathy.Methods:Related studies published from January 2009 to August 2020 were retrived from Wanfang Data-Digitalization Journals,China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),VIP China Science and Technology Journal Database,PubMed,EMBase and ClinicalKey databases.The efficacy of butylphthalide in the prevention and treatment of carbon monoxide delayed encephalopathy was investigated.The RevMan 5.3 software was used for meta analysis of various effect indexes.Results:A total of 13 studies involving 1140 patients were included in the study.Meta analysis showed that butylphthalide could significantly reduce the incidence of delayed encephalopathy in the patients with carbon monoxide poisoning95%CI(0.10,0.42),P<0.001],improve the mini-mental state examination scores(MMSE)95%CI(2.91,6.02),P<0.001],as well as Barthel indexes95%CI(11.05,13.10),P<0.001]in the patients with carbon monoxide delayed encephalopathy.Conclusion:Butylphthalide could prevent and treat carbon monoxide delayed encephalopathy,and is suitable for clinical application.
