Abstract:This article puts forward the safety prevention&control technology of belt conveyor system based on the machine vision technology according to the existing safety prevention&control technology and the analysis of belt conveying accidents in China.It introduces the basic principle and characteristics of the machine vision technology which is applied to the safe production of coal mines.Through the design,implementation and application of the system,the alarm and shutdown functions for personnel violation detection,belt coal stacking detection,belt over-speed detection,belt anti-tearing&foreign body detection,etc.in the production control area of conveyor belt system for coal mines have been achieved,solving the common problems of belt conveyor system for coal mines.At the same time,the safety concept of video monitoring system has been improved from passive"post analysis of accident causes"to active"prevention in advance",greatly reducing the mechanical and electrical conveying accidents in coal mines.Therefore,this study provides a safety guarantee for the implementation of unattended and efficient production in coal mines.
