| Abstract: | The background, present status and problems in development of green urban design are introduced. With the anatomy of such functions of geographic information system(GIS) as spatial data management, spatial data analysis, and establishing application models, this paper illustrates theoretically that GIS can provide green urban design with powerful technological means and decision support. Finally, applications of GIS to green urban design are explored primarily. |
