江豚的小肾结构指数和尿浓缩能力

摘    要:对江豚的六项小肾结构指数的测定发现,黄海沿岸江豚的小肾结构指数明显高于长江江豚的。提示前者具有较高的尿浓缩能力。对尿的分析所获结论相同,反映出二者对所栖水域的不同渗透浓度的适应。

Abstract:The authors had reported the measuremen and enumeration of the renculi and glomeruli of Nfophocaena phocaenoides in an earlier paper. In this follow-up work, we determined the concentration of urine and the value of rencular structural indices, including relative medullary thickness (RMT), percent medullary thickness (PMT), relative medullary area ((RMA), percent medullary area (PMA), percent papilla thickness (PPT) and percent papilla area (PPA). The mean value of these indices for the Yellow Sea coastal specimen of this porpoise were 6.0946, 80.77, 1.425, 57.81, 52.10 14.27 and for the Yangtze specimen were 5.3783, 76.80, 0.9332, 47.69, 48.08 and 10.41 rspectively. They were very high and the RMT was even higher than that of the desert habitat Camelus bactrianus. This shows that the porpoise has a great renal concentrating power. For mammals with great renal concentrating power, in general, have a more prominent medulla than those with lesser ability. Rencular indices of the Yellow Sea coastal specimen, were higher than those of the Yangtze specimen, and the concentration of Na, K, Ca, Mg and the osmolality of the usine of the former were higher than those of the latter. This might be owing to the different osmolality of their environments and shows that the kidney of the Yellow Sea coastal specimen has a greater urinary concentrating power.
