| Abstract: | Some characteristics of stern vibration and application of vibration absorbers are described.The theory of classical linear dynamic absorber and nonlinear dynamic absorber,as well as the possibility of extended application to the multi frequency and multi mode elastic system are also discussed.As an example,the application of a nonlinear dynamic absorber for a high speed craft and a decrease in stern vibration level are presented, which indicates the fair prospect to the absorbers. |
