| Abstract: | Studying the botanic morphology, the genetics breeding of the crop and the reference literature, we conclude that the four directions （east, west, south, north,） was described by the morphology of coix and the characteristic of the botanic geography. The phenomena reflected that coix was the totem of the ancient people. |
