| Abstract: | A new method of ranking the generalized trapezoidal fuzzy numbers is proposed in this article. Our proposed method is based on mean position, spread along the x-axis, area, and height. Some properties regarding the proposed new method have been derived. It has been compared with existing methods taking different sets of generalized trapezoidal fuzzy numbers and the drawbacks of those existing methods have been overcome by our new method. Then the new proposed method of ranking generalized trapezoidal fuzzy numbers was applied for ordering the risk values to be affected in a diabetes problem. |
