该文对从20世纪初大空间建筑出现以来的空间设计与传统文化表达这一关系的探索过程进行了分析，指出大空间公共建筑与传统文化表达有关联的空间要素，提炼出传统建筑中与大空间可产生关联的空间特征及传统元素，总结出大空间公共建筑空间设计中如何表达传统文化的设计手法，以期达到丰富大空间公共建筑创作的目的。
