帧内预测的模式选择快速算法研究及其实现

简要分析了H.264/AVC中的帧内预测模式选择,研究了基于边缘方向信息的模式选择快速算法.通过Sobel算子获得图像的边缘方向信息,并以此为依据确定相应的最优、次优预测模式,有效的减少了候选模式数.另外,在率失真模式选择过程中充分考虑算法的并行效能,减少了冗余计算.仿真结果表明,该方法可以有效的降低帧内预测计算开销,提高编码效率.

Research and Implementation of Fast Intra Prediction Mode Selection

Introduce intra prediction mode selection in H.264/AVC and research the fast algorithm of mode selection based on edge directional information. Image edge directional information can be obtained by Sobel operator. According to this the best and sub-best prediction mode can be achieved and candidate mode can be reduced more effectively. On the other side parallel performance can also be considered and then redundant calculation is reduced. Simulation results show that this method can reduce computational cost effectively.
