| Abstract: | Appearance optimization is a method to increase structural rigidity and strength without changing materials and cost. Calculation procedure of HyperWorks appearance optimization is described briefly. Taking the engine hood of a forklift truck as an example,appearance optimization design is carried out with Hypermesh modeling tool and OptiStruct optimization tool.
