INVESTIGATION ON THE BACTERIAL CONTAMINATION OF AIR IN OPD |

| Abstract: | In order to determine the status of air contamination in OPD, investigation was carried out by means of sampling with air impinger type JWL-I. The results indicated that the air in registry hall and the waiting rooms of all departments was most severely contaminated (2497～4053 CFU/m~3). The count of bacte- ria in air was highest during August, September and October in a year and 8:30～10:30 a. m. in a day. In general, the air in crowded, busy and poorly ventilated places and hot season was severely contaminated.Measures for reducing air contamination was proposed on basis of the investigation. |
