Abstract:PWR turbine mainly works in wet-steam zone.Comparing with thermal power plant of the same power,the steam flow rate is higher,and single unit has more heating capacity,thus suitable for heating.Based on experiences of steam extraction retrofitting for the thermal power plant,the retrofitting plan for steam extraction from pipe in front of the MSR of AP1000 PWR.The impact to operation,thermal economy and safety were analyzed,it indicates that retrofitting would not challenge the safety analysis results.But bring challenge to operation and increase the loss of energy available.It suggests that the steam extraction flow should be increased step by step based on the operation experience.
