Abstract:Cerebrovascular imaging examination is the main way to diagnose vertebral artery dissection and to monitor its morphological changes.The authors retrospectively analyzed two cases of intracranial vertebral artery dissection using basi-parallel anatomic scanning-magnetic resonance imaging(BPAS-MRI)combined with magnetic resonance angiography(MRA)for visualization of the outer contour of arteries and detection of vascular morphological changes.In addition,previous relevant literatures on PubMed searching with keywords“Basi-parallel anatomic scanning-MRI”,“BPAS-MRI”,“Artery dissection”,etc.were reviewed and discussed,aiming to provide reference for the application of BPAS-MRI in the differential diagnosis of intracranial vertebral basilar artery lesions and treatment plans.
